Yes - this is something we are interested in as well. We know about advertising using PPC like Adwords for retail sites - but I do not think that type of exposure will work for a wholesale/dropshipper type of industry.

If you consider that the Internet pushes markets to perfect competition, service is all that matters :) Word of mouth will follow.

Yes, service is all that matters, word of mouth will follow.
But before all things begin, you need to make others konow your product or your service.

Yes, service is all that matters, word of mouth will follow.
But before all things begin, you need to make others konow your product or your service.

That is a good point, we should have been clearer.

Nowadays it is so cost effective to let people know what you are doing (through social media and similar online marketing activities), that focusing on product quality / service and having a simple facebook profile can be sufficient to attract significant word of mouth business.

There is obviously a lot more that can be done to grow your business, starting from direct involvement in relevant forums and social media groups, to outright black hat seo and smm. In our view, natural / organic seo / smm is the best way forward. But, most importantly, your product / service must reflect your customers needs, and that's what will be crucial to your success.

Your business core offering is what will make it or break it. The rest is yes useful and will increase sales, but it is nowhere near as important to the long term success of your business, that's what we meant to say.

The upside of ads on Facebook is that they target people according to their interests rather than pages. So, it's not that your ad is static on some page, it's that FB shows it to people who have stated that their interests are the ones you've asked to target when you created your ad (for example you asked to target American women, 20-45, who stated they are interested in Jewelry, Gossip Girl and Teen Vogue).

Another upside is that while it takes some learning and playing with until you get it right, you can get pretty good results on a reasonable budget (even $2.5 a day)

The downside is that it is slightly time consuming. You need to take the time to learn it and "play" with it until you discover which ads and which target audiences are the most effective for you. Also ads are sometimes very effective for a short while (24 hours for example) and then you need to change either the text, the photo or more commonly the target audience.

Still it's very worth exploring. Good luck!
